Alexandre Moreira (Xando / Matcho), 63, of North Providence, RI, was called home by his creator on June 8, 2020. Matcho was born on November 8, 1956 in Guinea Bissau to Felismina Ramos Silva and Alfredo Moreira. Matcho was the beloved husband of Maria (Lala) Amado Moreira who he enjoyed spending time and exploring the world with.

Matcho was the loving father to his children, Claudia Moreira, Elga (Gisa) Moreira, Sury (Vado) Moreira, Edmir Moreira, William Moreira and Nikita Moreira. Lastly, a loving Vovo to his grandchildren Layza, Kalani, Kalel, Eric and Aleksander.

He is also survived by three sisters Fatinha, Clarinha, Manusha and three brothers, Carlinhos Nelson and Bruno. Paulo was Matcho's late 4th brother.

The family will hold a viewing at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, on Sunday June 14, 2020 from 4:00 - 7:00pm and a funeral service on Monday June 15, 2020 at 10:00am. Burial is private.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Matcho's service will limit the number of guests in the building at a time. For everyone's safety, please adhere to CDC guidelines with regards to wearing a face mask and practicing social distancing. Live streaming will be available for the funeral service for loved ones unable to travel (The video stream window will appear on this page, below Matcho's obituary at 4:00pm on Sunday and again at 10:00am on Monday).
